AFAIK those for Cookies are the ones that conflict the most, the rest do not share identical filters, you can check by the # of used filterlists in each. But best practice is to always stick with default filterlists and only enable others is you REALLY NEED them eg if you want to stop using Decentraleyes/LocalCDN etc.
However, even if you were to enable both of the Cookie ones, uBO will ignore duplicates, the issue is when they are similar but different enough to get "loaded" so they "fight" eachother and can make your website reload infinitely.

Neither one of you, but Decentraleyes/LocalCDN had bugs on certain sites and I reported them. For some pages I had to write a user shim as .user.js to inject the redirection to the extension URI that terminates the specific local JS (yes that works). It's not worth the stress to wait for an issue to be fixed or writing a shim or whitelisting a site.

I think it was some CORS issue. Worrying about CDNs tracking you is out of scope anyway. The google captcha and cloudflare invisible turnstyle dragnet has mastered this already.

Chromosexuals got so used to fake uHide Light on Manifest v3, they don't even notice how much more capable uBO on Firefox with Mv2 is. Any adblock guard on a decent site trashes the "light" version. I guess they disable it there in resignation.
I cannot argue for a better use case of fox than having a working adblocker and not the toothless manifest v3 crap that waters down low level capabilities. I simply refuse to explain it. If you know, you know.

I used to have omni.ja patched so that I could click on the URL bar without it highlighting the entire thing. But then I switched to NixOS and haven't been able to get it working again. There was some config.nix stuff I tried, but it didn't work, and I gave up on it. Glancing at it again I think it might not have worked due to variable shadowing...

Anon from previous thread here. Can confirm after testing that flashbangs are still an issue on Firefox. If anyone has any solutions I'd be glad to hear about them. I only have one working fix, but it involves installing an extension:

After looking more into it, it might be OS dependent (like another anon mentioned in the previous thread). One fix I noticed mentioned is adding the following setting to about:config as a Number and setting it to 1: ui.prefersReducedMotion

Gonna try that and report back, but flashbangs happen irregularly so it might take a while.

No, I believe there's strong evidence that it's related to cookies, but I don't know the technical details. I'm logged into an account I use for a project and the difference was noticeable between being logged in and logged out (in a fresh private browsing session). But now it seems to be reasonably fast in both cases.

This is the part that's not entirely clear to me. Did Mozilla conclude that most people didn't use the feature when it was available by default? Has anyone managed to make a clone of Firefox that looks and acts like Qutebrowser?
I just want some working adblock with a UI that knows how to get out of my way. Every "minimal" CSS config still has way too much rounding, padding and decorations. All I want is a top bar with tabs, and a bottom bar to input commands. Keyboard shortcuts for everything else.

For keybinds, I use Tridactyl. I think it's better than Vimium. However, since Firefox forbids extensions from accessing some internal pages, shit can get annoying as hell like you can't scroll through tabs until the page loads. I don't know if there's a way to fix it.

I never noticed it because I’ve been using a newer PC, but does FF actually use a lot more RAM at a baseline than it used to? I’ve been fixing up an old laptop recently and FF is idling at like 560mb of RAM, which adds up fast with only 4gb of it, helium and brave are only around 250mb, and no it don’t have many extensions in either cases. Is limiting the processes under performance settings the only thing I can do?
